The "worm" shelving was original launched at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair of 2002 as part of a line of pieces that featured solid poplar normally considered a secondary wood used for hidden wood components in
upholstery and paint grade finish carpentry. I had an idea of leaving the pieces unfinished, so as to allow it's natural skin in our living space, satisfying the tree hugger in us, and easy renewal with lite sanding. The "worm" has simple elbow modular design, that can allow it to take many forms. This one is 5' wide x 6 1/2' tall on a 6' radius and makes a beautiful room divider. It is currently
available and on display at Twentieth in LA.
